Balloons Over Broadway
By: Melissa Sweet
This book is about Tony, who is a marionette maker (or a puppet maker). When Tony grew up he helped Macy's with putting puppets in the window. He later helped make puppets for the Macy's day parade. Tony helped to make air pressure puppets, filled with helium and air, that would float in the sky for the parade. He used his idea of marionettes by making his puppets go in the air so all could see them, yet he tied strings to make the balloons move (upside down marionettes).
This book is recommended for kids 10 and up to read. This book is nonfiction because it is a real story.
I liked when they stated putting puppets in the air for everyone to see at the parade.
I would give this book four out of five stars.
